The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, requests the Court to pronounce Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic guilty of crimes in Dretelj. The Defence of Ivan Zelenika calls for a verdict of release.
Presenting its closing statement, the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, points out that indictees Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic were members of a joint criminal enterprise on the territory of Herzegovina.
The presentation of evidence at the trial for crimes in Dretelj, near Capljina, has been completed with the examination of an additional Srecko Herceg’s Defence witness.
Edib Buljubasic, the former deputy commander at the Dretelj wartime jail camp near Capljina, admitted that Serb detainees were abused every day and that female prisoners were often raped.
Testifying at the trial for crimes in Dretelj, near Capljina, an additional State Prosecution witness says that Ivan Medic abused her son and that she “recognised him by his eyes”.
Ivan Zelenika pleads not guilty to the charges contained in a second State Prosecution’s indictment, charging him with crimes against Bosniaks in the Mostar area.
Edib Buljubasic, who is charged with crimes committed in “Dretelj” military prison, near Capljina, fails to appear in court in order to testify in his defence.
The State Court rejects an indictment under which the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina has charged Ivan Zelenika with having committed war crimes against Bosniak civilians in the Mostar area.
