A former detainee in the Penal and Correctional Facility in Foca says at the trial of Ratko Mladic that members of Serb forces held Muslims in inhumane conditions, abused and killed them in that prison in 1992 and 1993.

During the trial of Jasko Gazdic, a former member of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina tried to prove that he raped several women who were detained in the Partizan sports hall as well as in apartments in Foca in 1992. The indictee’s Defence denied that he committed the rape, and the Trial Chamber shall pronounce its verdict on October 31.

After the defence presented its closing argument at the trial of Jasko Gazdic who is charged with wartime rapes in Foca, the Bosnian State court has announced it will pass the verdict on October 31.

The Hague Tribunal’s President has rejected a motion filed by representatives of victims from seven Bosnian municipalities, who asked the Tribunal to appeal against the decision to acquit Radovan Karadzic of genocide charges committed in 1992 following the end of the Prosecution’s evidence presentation.
