A hearing at which Ante Kurdija, known as Bokser, was due to enter his plea has been postponed, because the indictee fails to appear in court.
District Prosecutor Slavko Krulj said that, once he had received a court summons delivery report, he would decide on further steps, in other words, filing a custody order motion and issuance of an arrest warrant.

The indictee lives in the Slavonski Brod area, Croatia.

Defence attorney Jadranko Hadzisejdic said that he had contacted the indictee and that he found out from his wife on the eve of the hearing today that Kurdija was in Ukraine as a truck driver.

The District Prosecution in Doboj charges Kurdija, former member of the 101st Brigade of HVO in Bosanski Brod, with having hit captured Serb civilians with a pistol and threatened them by saying that he would kill them. The civilians had previously been brought to a bridge connecting Bosanski Brod and Slavonski Brod and tied to its fence in order to prevent bombing of the bridge.

A new plea hearing in this case is scheduled for November 28.
