Goronja Denies Charges, Pleads Not Guilty
Goran Obradovic BIRN BiH BanjalukaRatko Goronja plead not guilty before the District Court in Banja Luka to charges that he killed a Bosniak civilian in 1992.
On the day of the murder, Goronja allegedly went to a school in Blagaj Japra, near Novi Grad, and abducted a Bosniak civilian.
“They went to the Sava river and after five minutes, Goronja killed him by shooting him with an automatic weapon. The remains of the civilian were found in Blagaj Japra after the war,” the charges read.
The trial will begin on April 28.
