Guards Did not Mistreat Prisoners in Foca

As the trial of Radovan Karadzic continues, Mitar Rasevic, former Chief of Security of the Penal and Correctional Facility, KPD, in Foca, says that not even one prisoner was killed in that prison during the war and that guards did not beat or abuse prisoners.

More than three hundred years of imprisonment

In its sixth year of operation, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber for War Crimes sentenced 15 persons to a total of 156 years in prison, and acquitted seven, while the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina claims that they are also investigating one thousand suspects over war crimes offences.

Conditional Releases

At the end of May Mitar Rasevic was conditionally released from the Penal and Correctional Facility in Foca where he was serving his sentence for crimes committed in Foca municipality, while Dusan Fustar, who was sentenced for crimes committed in Prijedor, will be released on June 15 this year.
