The Bosnian state court will hand down a verdict in the trial of Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Nihad Bojadzic on July 13. The defendants have been charged with committing war crimes in the village of Trusina, near Konjic, on July 13, 1993.
Presenting her closing statement in defense of Nihad Bojadzic, defense attorney Edina Residovic said certain witness testimony against her client wasn’t trustworthy.
On the first day of his testimony, Nihad Bojadzic denied charges that he participated in the beating of a prisoner named Karlo Maric and stabbed a protected witness known as C with a knife in Jablanica in 1993.
On her fifth day of closing statements, Nihad Bojadzic’s defense attorney said there was no evidence that indicated her client commanded an attack on the village of Trusina on April 16, 1993.

On the third day of closing statements, defense attorney Vasvija Vidovic said there was no written order which demonstrated that her client, Nihad Bojadzic, had commanded an attack on the village of Trusina in the municipality of Konjic.

At today’s hearing of the Nihad Bojadzic trial, the defense presented more than 100 pieces of material evidence, most of which refer to the defendant’s movements and his status in the period covered by the indictment.
At today’s hearing of the Nihad Bojadzic trial, the defense submitted 130 pieces of material evidence to the case file.
In its closing arguments, the defense of Mensur Memic requested an acquittal.
