A former prison guard was sentenced to a year and a half in prison for war crimes against Yugoslav Army detainees in the Bosnian city of Tuzla in 1992.

Koler Verdict Due March 11

The retrial of Ivan Koler, who is charged with crimes in Tuzla, has been completed with the examination of the last witness and presentation of closing statements. The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina says that it will pronounce the verdict on March 11.

Defence Calls for Shorter Sentence

The Defence of Stipe Kristo calls on the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to reduce the sentence against the indictee for crimes in Gornji Vakuf, while the Prosecution objects to the proposal, saying that the sentence is adequate bearing in mind the committed crime.
