Former Detention Camps in Drvar Now in Ruins

Former detainees of wartime camps and the families of the deceased visited the Prekaja and Kamenica camps in Drvar, which are now in ruins. No one dares enter them, because of security risk. The camps serve as a reminder of the atrocities committed during the war.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina requested at least 30 years of imprisonment for Ratko Dronjak, who was convicted of committing war crimes in Drvar. Dronjak’s defense attorney, on the other hand, requested that the court reduce his sentence.

Prosecution Requests Reconsideration of Constitutional Court’s Decision

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, requests the reconsideration of a decision made by the Constitutional Court of BiH, partially quashing a verdict, under which Ratko Dronjak was sentenced to 18 years in prison for crimes in Drvar, because, as it explained, one of the judges, who participated in quashing the verdict, used to be the indictee’s Defence attorney.

The Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina increases the sentence against Ratko Dronjak for crimes in Drvar from 15 to 18 years in prison.
