An appellate session before the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FBiH, in order to discuss a verdict under which Zehrudin Scuk was sentenced to six years in prison for crimes in Jablanica, was postponed, because the indictee and his Defence attorney were not able to appear in courtroom.
The cantonal court in Mostar on Thursday convicted Scuk of the murder of Iva Pavlovic on July 28, 1993 for a second time, after the verdict from a previous trial was quashed by the supreme court and the case sent for retrial.
The retrial of Zehrudin Scuk for crimes in Jablanica begins before the Cantonal Court in Mostar, because the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FBiH, quashed a verdict, under which the indictee was sentenced to six years in prison.
During an appellate procedure before the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina the Prosecution requests longer sentence for Zehrudin Scuk, while the Defence proposes either a retrial or verdict of release.
The Cantonal Prosecution in Mostar requests the Court to sentence Zehrudin Scuk for crimes in the Jablanica area, while the Defence says that the allegations from the indictment have not been proved and that the indictee should be acquitted of charges.
