The Defence of indictee Edin Dzeko, former member of the “Zulfikar” Special Squad of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, completes the presentation of evidence by including the last documents in the case file.
The documents presented by Defence attorney Edina Residovic mainly included statements by State Prosecution witnesses given in other cases.
Prosecutor Vesna Ilic objected to relevance of those pieces of evidence. The Defence explained that it presented those witnesses’ statements due to their credibility and differences between testimonies.
Dzeko is charged with having killed Croat civilians and members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, in Trusina village, near Konjic, on April 16, 1993.
He is also charged with crimes against Croat prisoners and civilians committed in Jablanica in the second half of 1993.
Prosecutor Ilic announced that she would present additional pieces of evidence in order to oppose the Defence’s evidence.
The trial is due to continue on February 18.
